David W. Loeffler
David shot into this world in his uncle’s, Dr. Robert Loeffler, office, to the delight of his mother, Theresa Loeffler, and father, Dr. Harry Loeffler. He lived in Los Banos, welcoming two younger brothers, first Steven and then Matthew. David developed his love of hunting and the outdoors in Los Banos during frequent trips to the ranch of family friend, Dr. Jack Arburua. He lived in Los Banos until he went to the University of California at Davis. There he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in History and met his wife Christine (Chris), with whom he would spend the next 50 years.
They married and returned to Los Banos where they opened a sporting goods store and welcomed their first daughter, Katrina. They then moved to Fresno where David earned his second degree in Industrial Engineering from Fresno State University and they grew their family with a second daughter, Rebecca.
David worked as an industrial engineer for the Air Force at both McClellan and Kirkland Air bases before retiring and moving to Grants with Chris. David was a town fixture at Loeffler’s Guns, Etc., The move to New Mexico brought him more opportunities for hunting and exploring the land while making many friends in his community.
