Gilbert Salazar, 80, passed away at his home and went to be with the Lord on December 11, 2024.
He was born on October 22, 1944, to Lucia and Abelino Salazar in San Mateo New Mexico. Gilbert was a Free Spirited “Jack of all trades” man. He spent some of his adult life living in Kansas City, Missouri, California, and Colorado before settling back in his hometown of San Mateo, New Mexico..
Gilbert is survived by his daughter: Michelle Reyes; granddaughter: Olivia Lopez; grandsons: Cesar Lopez, and Demitri Reyes; great-granddaughter: Cecilia Solis; and great-grandson: Kane Mulvaney; brother: Frank Montano; and sister: Pauline Martinez; and his caregiver: Veronica Salazar; and many other family members and friends.
Gilbert is preceded in death by his loving mothers: Lucia and Sofie Salazar; and father: Abelino Salazar; brother: Alex Salazar; sisters: Ida Salazar and Francis Lucero.
