Lucy M. Hicks
Lucy M. Hicks a long time resident of Grants passed away on August 8, 2025 in Boyd, TX at the age of 84 after a lengthy illness She was born to Jose Maria and Faustina Gallegos in La Fragua New Mexico on April 9, 1941, the last of their children.
Lucy was a devout Jehovah's witness since 1968. She was a great cook, having worked in many restaurants and Grants and Milan: the Hollywood diner, Petro truck stop in Milan, hobo Joe's, Jerry’s, the Uranium Cafe, and Canton Cafe. She started as a waitress and progressed to a cook – she loved cooking.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles Wayne Hicks; and sons: Larry and Darrell Baca.
She is survived by children: Doris Inhurst, Yvonne Bobette, David Hicks, Pamela Hicks, and Jessica Sanchez.
She will be greatly missed by family, spiritual family and many friends
