Robert enjoyed golfing especially with his brother, Terry. He was a jack of all trades and would tackle any mechanical or constructive project, traits that he would pass on to his three sons. He also loved riding and tinkering with his cars and motorcycles. He was a music lover with Country being his genre of choice. He was an accomplished singer, guitar and bass player, playing gigs with fellow musicians in the Grants and Albuquerque area. After joining the Mine Supply Co. in Carlsbad in the fifties, he brought his family to Albuquerque and then on to Grants, New Mexico as a Sales Rep. servicing the Uranium mining industry. He was very successful after finding his niche providing unsurpassed customer service to his mining clientele. He would spend over 25 years in the mining supply business, working with several different companies before opening his own, The Mine Equipment Co. After the Uranium mining downturn of the late 80's, he returned to his Texas roots.

The love, respect and friendship between Robert and Patsy was very special, the kind most only wish for. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to any friend or neighbor in need. Robert cherished his time together with family and friends.

Robert had an untouchable zest for life. He never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone in his presence feel special and heard. Life for many of us will never be the same without this wonderful man in it... But to have been lucky enough to have this angel on earth with us as long as we did; has been a true blessing. This is not goodbye; it’s until we see each other again. Until then we will carry you in our hearts and will keep your memory alive every day. You’re so loved Pop, Dad, Grandpa and Bob and will be missed more than words could ever say.
