Rosemary Calvert was born on January 24, 1952, in Bayard, NM; she was a lifetime resident of Grants New Mexico, passed away in the early morning hours of July 8. A memorial service will be held on Thursday July 22, 2021 at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Grants New Mexico at 9:30 am.
Rosemary dedicated her life to education and worked many years for the Cibola County school district. She taught courses at the women's prison in Grants as well as courses at the NMSU branch in Grants, NM.
Rosemary was loved and respected among her peers and everyone who knew her. She will be missed immensely. She was also devoted to her husband and children and doted on her grandchildren any chance she could. She touched the lives of everyone who knew her and was thought of as a bright, interesting and highly motivated individual who lived life to the fullest.
Rosemary is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years: Ronald Calvert also of Grants, NM; and her four grown children; daughter: Rhonda Calvert-Cox of Groveland, CA; sons: Chad Calvert of Las Cruces, NM, Shawn Calvert of Grants, NM; and daughter: Dana Calvert of Las Cruces, NM.
Rosemary also leaves behind eight grandchildren: Arron Staake of Las Cruces, NM, Noah Calvert of Groveland, CA, Tanna Cox of Groveland CA, Em Cox of Groveland, CA, Caleb Cox of Groveland, CA. Annessa Calvert of Las Cruces, NM, Sydney Calvert of Las Cruces, NM and Shawn Calvert of Artesia, NM, and also one great-grandchild, Kensley Calvert of Groveland, CA.
