Viola S Lopez
Viola S Lopez was born May 4th, 1926 in Cubero, New Mexico.
Her parents were Frank and Carolina Salazar. She passed away on November 29, 2024 with her family by her side. She is one of the longest living people in Cubero. She was 98 years old and lived a long and happy life. Viola liked to crochet and sew and enjoyed spending time at the casino, she also loved reading her bible and taking care of all her children and grandkids, she loved them all.
Viola is survived by her children, Sons: Charley Lopez, Clifford Lopez and wife Annie Lopez; Daughters: Shirley Gallegos, Pauline and Elmer Griego, Karen Sanchez, Annabelle Lopez, Beatrice Marquez, Judy Lopez; and 180+ Grandchildren up to six generations; Siblings: Mable Lucero, Florence and Husband Jim Veder.
Preceded in death by her husband: Herman Lopez Jr.; Brothers: Freddy Salazar, Samuel Salazar; sisters: Libby Martinez, Ethel Sandoval. Theodore Lopez, Sonny Lopez, Robert Lopez, Alvin Lopez, Eddie Lopez, Kathy Lopez; Grandchildren: Richard Lopez, Alexis Lopez.
Services for Viola will take place at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Grants, New Mexico. The Rosary will be on Tuesday December 10, 2024, at 6 PM. The mass will follow on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 10 AM. She will then be placed at Grants Memorial Park Cemetery following the mass.
Pallbearers will be Walter Lopez, Victor Lopez, Patrick Gallegos, Dominic Lopez, Eddie Lopez, Ruben Brito, Beatle Lopez, Al Lopez Jr, Mark Garcia, Elmer Griego.
