I watched the news this morning and logged the new COVID numbers in New Mexico today on my calendar as I have done since it came to America. I am gladdened that the number of cases has slowed tremendously as have the deaths… things are looking up!
The weather except for occasional glitches and saddening cold and cloudy days has warmed up, leading to hopefully warmer and less windy days, paving the way to summer and more outdoor and family activities and perhaps more camping… things are looking up!
I see car cruises on the horizon and perhaps activities in the park and fishing, and swimming, and more and more, and more…things are looking up!
I know of more friends who have been vaccinated with their first COVID shot and are readying for the second, with no ill effects except perhaps a sore arm. People still social distance with hand sanitizer and masks are still being the norm. Together we seem to be gaining ground as more N.M. counties are approaching the green (yes… GO!) less restrictive social color… things are looking up!
