The Grants High School Alumni baseball game was held on Saturday, February 15, after the annual Mt. Taylor Quadrathlon.
In a message on social media, City of Grants Mayor Erik Garcia wrote, “It’s always special to step back onto that field, even if my arm’s shot and I can’t throw like I used to. The memories come rushing back—1998 feels like yesterday when I’m standing next to the same guys I played with back then. They still show up, they still give it their all, and we still laugh like we’re kids. I also want to wish the 2024 State Champions The Grants Pirates the best of luck in their upcoming season. Continue to dream big, Pirates!”
