GRANTS, N.M. - The 4A Blue Cross Blue Shield state track and field championship meet was held in Albuquerque this past weekend at the University of New Mexico. Several GHS students participated.
To no one’s surprise, Laila Martinez was a top finisher in the 800-meter race, placing 3rd in the state with a time of 2:15.51.
Martinez also placed 3rd in the 1600 meters run with a time of 5:22.23.
Tori Felipe placed 3rd in 4A in shot put with a throw of 35-11.25. Allison Hobbs placed 11th in the triple jump with a jump of 32-05. 75.
