The Grants High School volleyball team is currently 8-12 ,1-4 after dropping their last two games 0-3 and 0-3. On October 17 the Lady Pirates lost to Belen High School 25-19, 25-22 and 25-14. On October 24 the Lady Pirates lost to Valencia High School 25-13, 25-16 and 25-13. They will travel to St. Pius on Tuesday, October 29 and then they will host Highland High School on October 30 and wrap up their season with a road trip to Belen on November 5.
The Pirates are fourth in their district. Leading district 4A-5 is St. Pius with a record of 16-3, 5-0, followed by Valencia at 12-7, 4-1 in a close second place and coming in third are the Lady Eagles of Belen with a record of 146, 2-3. The Lady Hornets of Highland High School are fifth with a record of 0-18, 0-4.
