The 7-1 Fighting Colts of Silver City High School went on a 36-0 run in the first quarter against the Grants Pirates football team and added 14 points in the second half for a 50-0 district win over the Grants High School Pirates Football Team this past weekend in an away game for the Pirates. “Silver was fast, physical and played great team football,” said Grants High School football Head Coach Brandon Hernandez. “We played a tough schedule–our young guys are getting some valuable experience—our guys didn’t quit and we continue to play hard.”
The Pirates at 1-7 will face the 3-5 Valencia Jaguars in a district game this Thursday, October 20 at 7 p.m.
