Absentee voting by mail or in person

CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M - Voters may cast an absentee ballot or vote in person at their local County Clerk’s office or an early voting location prior to Election Day. No excuse is required to vote with an absentee ballot, according to the New Mexico Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver.

Absentee voting begins on Tuesday, Oct. 6 for the Nov. 3 General Election. Request an absentee ballot by filling out an application and returning it to the local County Clerk. Early voting continues through Saturday, October 31. Check locations and hours of operation by visiting NMVote.org or by contacting the Cibola County Clerk’s Office, 505-285-2537;

There are multiple ways for voters to return their absentee ballot. If mailing it, do so by October 27; or drop off the ballot at the county clerk’s office or at any polling location in Cibola County during Early Voting or on Election Day. All absentee ballots may be returned to the County Clerk’s Office or any Election Day polling location no later than 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 – Election Day

Completed ballots must be mailed to the county clerk no later than October 27 to ensure it arrives before 7p.m. on Election Day.

Early Voting

Early voting begins in the office of the county clerks on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, and alternate early voting locations open on Saturday, October 17.
