Property Tax Rates for 2022

On September 5, Cibola County received the property tax rate-setting order from the state's Department of Finance and Administration. The Board of County Commissioners are required to issue and deliver to the Cibola County Assessor its own written order imposing these rates within five days of the rate-setting order. Before the Board issued its order, the county was responsible for ensuring that the rates were correct.

The tax rate for every $100,000 in 2021 was: -The City of Grants: Residential 0.034589 ($1,152.97); Non-Residential 0.038277 ($1,275.90) -Outside Grants: Residential 0.029020 ($967.33); Non-Residential 0.032424 ($1,080.80) -Milan: Residential 0.031516 ($1,050.53); Non-Residential 0.040074 ($1,335.80) The tax rate for every 100,000 dollars in 2022 is: -The City of Grants: Residential 0.034812 ($1,160.40); Non-Residential 0.038560 ($1,285.33) -Outside Grants: Residential 0.028332 ($944.40); Non-Residential 0.031622 ($1,054.07) -Milan: Residential 0.030869 ($1,028.97); Non-Residential 0.039272 ($1,309.07) The Cibola County Board of Commissioners had met at a special meeting on September 9 to review the order setting property tax rates for 2022 where it was then approved, adopted, and passed
