Burn ban lifted in Fence Lake Valley; permits available Wednesdays

CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. – The Fence Lake Valley Volunteer Fire Department announced the burn ban has been lifted and burning is allowed once again in the rural county, with a permit.

In-person permits: Burn permits will be issued at the station on Wednesdays from 3–4 p.m.

Online permits (returning applicants): If you’ve previously received a burn permit in person, you can request one by email at flvfdchiefblood@ gmail.com. The department will send a permit with instructions.

Residents are reminded to follow all permit conditions, monitor weather and wind, and keep water and tools on hand whenever burning.
