CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. – The June 2 primary election is underway, but because the Cibola Citizen publishes on Wednesdays, today’s print edition will not be able to include complete and final election-night results.
The Cibola Citizen will post updates on our website as results become available. A full results roundup – including local Cibola County winners, vote totals, and how Cibola County precincts reported – will publish in the June 10 edition.

Some contests on Cibola County ballots include only one candidate, meaning the outcome is not dependent on election-night totals.
Locally, those include Cibola County Assessor, where Jenna M. Rodriguez (D) is the only candidate listed; and Cibola County Magistrate Judge Division 1, where Tony L. Mace (D) is the only candidate.
Several higher-level contests on Cibola County ballots are also uncontested on one side, including U.S. House District 2 (Democrat Gabriel Vasquez) and Judge of the Court of Appeals, Position 1 (Democrat Kris Houghton).
Where to Find Full Results
For the most up-to-date election- night reporting, voters can follow the New Mexico Secretary of State’s unofficial results page, which updates as precincts report. The Cibola Citizen will also provide updates on our website and Facebook page as results come in and will publish a complete local results story in the June 10 newspaper.
A reminder for readers: electionnight numbers are considered unofficial until the canvass process is completed and results are certified.
