LAS CRUCES N.M. — The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the world’s largest business federation, has endorsed Rep. Xochitl Torres Small’s re-election campaign for New Mexico’s Second Congressional District. The group’s endorsement comes as Torres Small scored higher than 93 percent of House Democrats on the Chamber of Commerce’s annual Congressional scorecard, including a nearly 90 percent bipartisanship score.

“From passing the USMCA to fighting to include oil and gas workers in COVID-19 relief packages, I’ve worked with Republicans, Democrats, and President Trump to deliver for New Mexico’s small businesses, agricultural producers, and workers,” said Rep. Torres Small. “I’m honored to have the Chamber of Commerce’s endorsement and will keep working with them as we rebuild our economy for all New Mexicans.”

“Your continued leadership in Congress will benefit the nation as we combat the coronavirus, work to restore economic growth, and expand opportunities for all Americans,” said U.S. Chamber of Commerce CEO Thomas Donahue.
