April 8 Free Movie – “All About Eve” One-time Cibola County resident, Anne Baxter, was described as an “electric youth in the world of acting genre. She and Bette Davis star in the “Withering Satire” on Hollywood, in the movie “All About Eve” Don’t miss it this Saturday, April 8, at the Double Six Art Gallery on Route 66 / 1001 W. Santa Fe Ave. Show-time is 2 p.m.

Bataan Day Memorial On Saturday April 8, 2023, at 1 p.m., there will be a ceremony for WWII Bataan Day. Public is invited, there will be guest speakers at the event on 515 W. High Street.

April 15 Prevent Child Abuse

At 10 a.m., Saturday, April 15, the Art Walk will begin and end at the Grants Public Library. Artists will use their talents to oppose child abusers and inform the public that abusers are criminals. Be observant and report this criminal activity.

Free Activity – Yoyo Making

Hugh Jackman, Justin Bieber, Jerry Seinfeld, and Tom Hanks collect and play with yo-yos. You can make and share this common toy, Saturday, April 15, at the Double Six Art Gallery beginning at 2 p.m. Meet on Route 66 / 1001 W. Santa Fe Avenue and enjoy the challenge. All ages are welcome.

April 22 Free Movie – “I Confess” Anne Baxter worked the film, “I Confess” in Quebec, Canada, under the direction of Alfred Hitchcock. He was described as “fat and full of fire.” Join move-lovers Saturday, April 22 in the Double Six Art Gallery at 2 p.m. for this intriguing movie-story. Remember – the arts are for everyone!

April 29 Free Youth Activity – Mobil Making

Make a unique, imaginative mobile in the Double Six Art Gallery, Saturday, April 29 at 2 p.m. Location is Route 66 / 1001 W. Santa Fe Avenue. It’s a “balanced” form of art. Have fun!

A peek at May’s movies, features memorable mothers. Well – there is Michael Keaton in “Mr. Mom” and there is Greer Garson as “Mrs. Miniver”. Let’s gather at the Double Six Art Gallery in May on two Saturdays at 2 p.m. on Route 66 / 1001 W. Santa Fe Ave. to honor mothers.
