Wayne Lee Corbe

Wayne Lee Corbe, was born September 22, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio to Lewis E. Corbe and Gertrude (Goodman) Corbe (both predeceased). He graduated from Mayfield High School, Mayfield Hts., Ohio in 1964 (15th/278) and he graduated from General Motors Institute (Flint, Michigan) with a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering degree in 1969 (with honors).

To my beloved sister Sue: Here is my obituary if, in the unlikely (ha! ha!) event that I should precede you in experiencing death... (brothers do the darndest things) ...signed Soaring Eagle.

I have lived my life the way I wanted to: For my own enjoyment and in sharing politics, investments, nutrition, sports with my sister, and my friends. I travelled and worked all over the country, but always returned to Grants, NM where I loved to hike and walk. I always believed Grants, NM was where I was meant to be. I have had some very special friends with whom I spoke to frequently and thought a lot of, like Annette, Bob, Billy, Dan, Jeff, Ray, Theresa, and David & Angela, Lisa & Gregg, and Marie & Michael, to name a few. I also had special friends at the local grocery stores and Walmart. My only major failure that I will admit to was being unable to hit the lottery so I could share the money and make my sister's life easier, as well as my friends' lives easier. I have loved to read diverse books, many that I shared with my friends and sister (whom I tried to mentor and guide (as her big brother) whether she wanted my advice or not). I also want to pay a special tribute to (Owed to) Luckie Dawg (who predeceased me and was my companion and my friend), and Ancestral Homecoming where Luckie Dawg's spirit now resides). From Sue (Corbe) Cobb: my beloved brother Wayne passed suddenly and unexpectedly on 10/4/2022 just as he always said he wanted to pass: quickly, with no pain and no suffering. Wayne and I had a special bond which will never be broken. I will miss him sorely. Soar well my brother now that your spirit is free. (Wayne's remains are spread near Mount Taylor in New Mexico, and will also be in Wilmington, Vermont where he will be buried next to me, when I soar to meet him.)
