Hypocrisy doesn't work

Dear Editor:

As parents of nine children, my wife and I fully understood the importance of living the rules we imposed on our children. Hypocrisy doesn't work within the family structure. This is true within free societies.

When leaders impose strict mandates upon their constituents and these leaders refuse to follow those mandates themselves, they cause confusion and anger. It is interesting that those leaders from states that have imposed stricter measures upon their people have refused to follow those same measures themselves. Governor's Michelle Lujan Grisham, Gretchen Whitmer, Gavin Newsom, and former Governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo, and others, have been caught redhanded breaking their strict health mandates. As they tank the economies of their respective states in the name of public health, they feel free to have their mask-less soirees and elegant dinner parties and weddings.

The President of the United States, Joseph Biden, is the biggest hypocrite of all. He spent the entire election hidden in his basement. He is trying to force all citizens of this nation to mask up and take the vaccines for Covid or risk losing their ability to support their families by keeping their jobs. This Biden does as he allows hundreds of thousands, maybe millions of illegal aliens from other nations to pour in through our borders without having to be vaccinated. How is this right?

The democrat representatives of our state recently had a conference in Grants to help our veterans. When the veterans showed up to this conference, that was for them, without face masks, they were yelled at by one representative and the meeting was promptly cancelled. One hour later these representatives resumed the meeting without most of the veterans. These elected leaders need to be put on notice that this is America, not China. We have freedoms that were fought and died for provided by the US Constitution. It would be nice this next election if we remember these actions and stop voting like we have in the past. This is supposed to be a government of the people, by the people and for the people.
