Cibola is No Place for Hate

Dear Editor,

There is no place for racial hatred, gender/sexual orientation hatred, misogyny, or partisan extremism in the United States military. Mr. Hall, please cease and desist listing the USAF in your cockamamy, hateful opeds. You, sir, besmirch men and women in uniform. Our military might is derived from individual excellence of every service member. Diversity amongst our ranks is a positive asset in our mission accomplishments.

We, the fine citizens of Cibola County, the Pentagon and the US Senate Armed Services Committee are working hard to root out hatred and extremism in our midst. Take a hint from your election tally, Mr. Hall… few are interested in your malicious Op-Ed tirades.

Unexpected Words at Christmas in July

Dear Editor,

The mayor had a good idea to have Christmas in july.at the cemetery. I put a few things together to go and decorate my loved one’s graves.

When I drove in the cemetery, I noticed that there was a group of people near the entrance putting up lights and Santa.

I parked and went about my business. I was walking on the grass towards a person’s grave. When someone from that group yelled really loud

"Get off the grass!” I stood there for a minute and then went on, then there was another yell saying "You B***"

I finished my business and left.

I know that this group were not city workers but city officials.

Is this the way you treat people? All of you are supposed to act like adults and show some professionalism.

The Cemetery is a public place. All of that was uncalled for. Everyone has the right to be there and walk on the grass. I would like to see the day city officials try to change that!

Thank you,

M. B. P
