Helping Those in Need

Dear editor, After so many years of not having a homeless shelter in this community, can’t we get one? Many people would be happy to receive the blessing that comes from volunteering to help others. I’d like to share a quote from a wonderful book title “The Desire of Ages” by EG White.

“When the nations are gathered before HIM (Jesus) there will be but two classes, and their eternal destiny will be determined by what they have done or have neglected to do for Him in the person of the poor and suffering… But those who Christ commends know not that they have been ministering unto HIM. To their perplexed inquiries He answers, ‘Inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto Me.’” From Matthew 25:3540: “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.

“Then the righteous will answer him, “Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did fr one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” B. School Secutiry and Policing

Dear editor, Looks like the defund the police Democrats finally have some blood on their hands, after hiring several younger men with little police experience, they managed to beat a young black man to death on a minor traffic stop. They too were young black men, but I don’t think the color of their skin should matter wrong is wrong. Also, a school finally got sued for not spending any money on security and after being warned about a 6-year-old with a gun. That’s always been the problem all the way back to Sandy Hook because they would not spend money on good security. Instead, all the politicians from the President on down want more gun control like the current ones they are trying to push through in Santa Fe. More gun laws are not what we need, every business or school that fails to provide some type of good security for the public and prevents the legal carry of a concealed licensed firearms holders should be sued and put out of business the second someone gets hurt on their property. This should have been done as far back as Sandy Hook, and the Colorado Theater Shooting especially anything since then. It’s somewhat refreshing to see some police officers, and emergency medical personnel finally being charged for bad conduct. That has an effect on both professions to use body cameras which should include everyone all the way up to the FBI or IRS agents. Yes, the good old Department of Justice will make police at all levels of any state use body cameras, but most federal level agents don’t use them which is wrong. Most people today have a smart phone. Google or look up some of these events on the internet. The major media we see today wants to run the country, push the politicians they want in office as well as how tell society should do and think while they hide behind their secure guarded newsrooms and the First Amendment.

Signed, Mr. Harry L. Hall USAF Veteran Retired Police/Sheriff Lt.
