GRANTS, NM—Cibola County has seen a rise in the local business registrations since 2019.
There have been 81 new business registrations between December 2019 and October 2021. These include 11 new registrations county-wide since July 1, 2021.
New businesses include agriculture processing or growing, outdoor recreation campsites, construction services, computer services, and specialized archeological artifact analysis. These new businesses are located throughout Cibola County. Fence Lake and just outside of Grants have each seen an increase of three new business registrations. Cubero, Seboyeta, San Rafael, El Morro and just outside of Milan have added one new business to their area.
The #shoplocalcibola event on Facebook sponsored by the Grants-Cibola County Chamber of Commerce continues to hold drawings to encourage residents to support local businesses throughout Cibola County. Business Registration renewals will begin January 1 through March 1 of 2022. New business registrations are due within 30 days after a new business is established.
