Back County Horsemen Trash Pick Up event

Developmental skills’ assessment

Grants/Cibola County School District is providing free online developmental screenings for ages 3-21 years. Evaluations in language and communication, cognition, problem solving, memory, thinking, and social behavior along with muscle and coordination skills. “If you suspect a disability, delay, or giftedness with your child and you would like to have your child’s skills screened, please call Amanda at 505-933-9199 to begin the screening process,” said G/CCSD officials.

NWNMSWA accepts corrugated cardboard

The Northwest New Mexico Solid Waste Authority accepts only corrugated cardboard for recycling. Locations include Smith’s Grocery, Roosevelt Avenue, Grants, John Brooks Supermarket, Highway 66, Milan, and Milan Transfer Station, 2305 W. Highway 66, Milan. John Brooks site, Monday-Friday; 8 a.m. – noon, Grants facility, 1 – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday; and transfer station, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. No Saturday hours.
