Notice New Lockbox at Roberta’s Place

We have been tirelessly working to combat the mess and vandalism outside The Roberta’s Place Thrift Store. We purchased a new box that WORKS! We need the communities help to place ALL items inside the box. Please do not leave bags or boxes outside. If the items do not fit and it is after business hours, you can call the 24/7 shelter line 505-2877724 for an alternate drop off location. We appreciate all donations! Donations can always be dropped off inside the store Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm.

Free Music Concerts

Here are the Friday dates for the music lessons featuring the New York Philharmonic led by Leonard Bernstein: September 22, and 29. Time is 4-5 p.m. Venue is Double Six Art Gallery on Route 66 / 1001 W. Santa Fe Ave.

September 23 Free Movie – “Lone Star”

Was Buddy Deeds a hero or law-breaker? Son, Sam learns about his father’s past while working to solve a murder mystery. Movie “Lone Star” will deliver the answer Saturday, September 23, at 11 a.m. in the Double Six Gallery on Route 66/ 1001 W. Santa Fe Ave.

September 24 El Morro Area Arts Council Presents: Laura Gilpin, Photographer

Meet Miss Laura Gilpin as portrayed by Deborah Blanche, New Mexico actor and storyteller, in the onewoman show: Laura Gilpin, Photographer, on Sunday, September 24th at 2:30 at the Old School Gallery, 4009 Ice Caves Road, Ramah, NM. In this presentation Miss Gilpin will show slides of some of her most famous photographs and tell behind the camera stories of her life and work. The public is warmly invited to attend Laura Gilpin, Photographer, funded in part by the New Mexico Humanities Council Chautauqua Program. No admission fee for this presentation. “La Bohme” means bohemian. The opera’s two male leads are Marcel, a painter, and Rodolpho, a poet. Their friends are a musician and a philosopher.
