Colon Cancer Awareness Day

March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month, and March 4 is Colon Cancer Awareness Day. To spread awareness of the deadly illness, wear blue on March 4. Colon Cancer is one of the leading killers of men and women in the United States. Regular screening for Colon Cancer is a great way to prevent and be aware about the illness, call your doctor today if you’re 45 or older to schedule a screening.

Chamber Banquet and community dance

The Grants/Cibola County Chamber of Commerce has moved their annual Chamber Banquet to Saturday, March 5. The Chamber is excited to see the community come out in support of local businesses on March 5. Tickets can be purchased at 100 Iron Avenue. Rotary Bowl-A-Thon 9 a.m. at Thunderbird Lanes, 300 Jefferson Avenue in Grants, N.M., all proceeds will benefit the Grants-Milan Rotary Club’s backpack program which helps feed underprivileged student in the Grants-Cibola County School district by filling their backpacks with non-perishable food.
