August 3 Cemetery Board Meeting

The Grants Cemetery Board will meet at 4:30p.m. in the Council Hall Chambers with simply 600 W. Santa Fe Avenue. Agendas will be available July 29.

Come meet the City of Grants, Village of Milan, and Cibola County managers for coffee. This is a forum where community members can hear updates from the managers and get their questions answered directly from the managers. Milan Planning and Zoning Meeting

A Village of Milan Planning and Zoning Board will hold a regular meeting at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Village Hall, 623 Uranium Avenue in Milan, N.M. August 13 Free Movie – “Goodbye Mr. Chips”

In “Goodbye, Mr. Chips” a double dose of happiness surrounds the main character. The shy schoolmaster enjoys “his boys” at school and a loving relationship with his wife. Movie enthusiasts will gather on Saturday, August 13 in the Double Six Art Gallery at 2 p.m. The arts are for everyone!

Historical Society General Meeting and Program

The Cibola County Historical Society will meet on August 13 at 2 p.m. in the Cibola County History Museum, 525 W. High Street in Grants. A guest presentation by Sherry Robinson will highlight “Americans in Dinetah: Unrealistic Expectations and Exciting Discoveries.”

Glow Golf Fundraiser

The Cibola Trail Alliance is hosting a Glow Golf Fundraiser on August 13 at 7 p.m. at the Coyote Del Malpais Golf Course. Limit of 150 golfers. $150 for individual golfers, $450 for a team. The tournament will be a threeperson scramble. Registration includes 18 holes of golf, golf cart, glow in the dark balls and a hamburger dinner. Funds will go toward purchasing an excavator to build sustainable, multiuse trails in Cibola County.

August 15 Library Board Meeting

The Grants Public Library Board will meet at 3:30 p.m. on August 15 at the Grants Public Library, 1101 N. First Street in Grants, N.M. Agendas will be available on August 12 at the library.

August 17 Grants Recreation Board Meeting

The Grants Recreation Board will meet at 6 p.m. on August 17 in the City Council Chambers, 600 W. Santa Fe Avenue in Grants. Agendas will be available on August 12 at city hall.

August 18 Regular Village of Milan Meeting

A Board of Trustees Meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on August 18 at Village Hall, 623 uranium Avenue in Milan, N.M. August 20 Speaking Presentations

In honor of education, during August, the Double Six Art Gallery will present a panel of experts to discuss food service and maintenance within our school district. When? Saturday, August 20; Where? Route 66 / 1001 Santa Fe Avenue; Time? 2 p.m. These professionals see your daughters/sons everyday and have touched the lives of so many. Let’s gather to thank them.

Cibola Senior Citizens’ Advisory Council The Cibola Senior Citizens’ Advisory Council will meet at 2 p.m. on August 25 at 2 p.m. in the Senior Citizen’s Center, 550 Jurassic Court in Grants. Agendas will be available on August 22.
