October 26 Grants City Council Meeting

The Regular City Council Meeting will meet at 6 p.m. on October 26 at the Grants City Hall Chambers, 600 W. Santa Fe Avenue, Grants. Agendas will be available October 21.

October 27 Grants Lodger’s Tax

The Lodger’s Tax Board will meet at 9 a.m. on October 27, in the City Hall Council Chambers, 600 W. Santa Fe Avenue, Grants. Agendas will be available October 24 at city hall.

Senior Citizens Advisory Council

The Cibola Senior Citizen’s Advisory Council will meet at 2 p.m. on October 27 at the Senior Citizens Center, 550 Jurassic Court, Grants, N.M. Agendas will be available on October 24.

October 29 Free Make-Up Presentation

Do you know these high school students? Matthew Martinez, Isabelle Torivio, Skye Shandee, Faith Valdez, Alexandria Pasamante, Cheyenne Vernon, Annallesa Lowther, Virginia Peters, Mya Delgarito, Mikura Rafael, or Vince Chavez? They are the theatrical make-up artists in the GHS Drama Department who will demonstrate talent on Saturday, Oct. 29, at 2 p.m. in the Double Six Art Gallery. The gallery’s location is Route 66 / 1001 W. Santa Fe Avenue. Join them, watch and learn. Who knows? You might get your face painted.

Knights of Columbus Haunted Casino Saturday October 29th

The Chamber of Commerce Presents the HAUNTED CASINO *21 AND OVER EVENT* Knights of Columbus, 1601 Roosevelt Ave. Door Open at 7:30pm. Comedy Show starts at 8 p.m. Stand-up comedy, Dance, Door Prizes, Costume Contest, Food Trucks. Tickets go on sale October 1, 2022 at the New Mexico Mining Museum.

El Morro Fall Fiesta

Join the El Morro Area Arts Council for a Celebration of Rain, Harvest, and Neighbors at the El Morro Fall Fiesta. Taking place one mile east of El Morro National Monument on Route 53. Starting at 11:30 a.m., there will be drumming and digeridoo, a quartet band, drumming workshops and at 1:20 p.m. The Sillyettes will play. An auction at 2 p.m. and the event will close with the Thunderidge closing, be prepared to dance!

November 5 Free Movie – “Secondhand Lions”

A sub-plot in the movie, “Secondhand Lions” revolves around the photo of a beautiful woman, an Arab princess, and her marriage to Hub, a young American member of the French Foreign Legion. What happened that resulted in Hub retiring and living on a run-down farm? Attend the movie on Saturday, November 5 at 2 p.m. at the Double Six Art Gallery, located on Route 66 / 1001 W. Santa Fe Avenue. Movie shown at Ms. Lezlie Smith’s discretion.

November 10 Special Village of Milan Meeting

A Board of Trustees Special Meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2022, at 9 a.m. at Village Hall, 623 Uranium Avenue in Milan. Agendas will be available on Monday, November 7. MainStreet Veteran’s Celebration

Grants MainStreet invites you to join us for dinner on Friday, November 11 to the Double 6 Gallery in support of veterans living in and from our community. We want to highlight the incredible amount of service members in our community, and give them the opportunity to share their experiences in the service through art. Gabby's Cafe & Catering/ Meal Planning will be catering the event, and veterans from Cibola County will be your artist de jour.
