Today marks 34 days until the 4th of July, as well as our Fourth of July Celebration! Grants/Cibola County Cibola County would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Les Gaines & Cibola Trail Alliance on being named "Grand Marshal" of this year's Fourth of July Parade! We take great pride in recognizing Les and CTA's support in developing and maintaining sustainable multi-use trails for hikers, cyclists, runners, all-terrain vehicles and horseback riders in Mt. Taylor Ranger District of the Cibola National Forest.

We know the CTA is made of residents in Cibola County, who come together to support something they love: The outdoors. And with much anticipation for what's to come with the trails east of the Grants Ridge, it's individuals like Les and CTA that makes our community a great place to live, work and play. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!

The theme for the event this year is “Stars & Stripes in the Rugged West”. The parade begins at 9 a.m. on Monday, July 4 along Historic Route 66, then down First Street. Be sure to arrive early to claim your spot along the Mother Road. They fill up fast! Each entry into the parade is $20. If you have any questions, please call us at (505) 287-4802.

We are greatly looking forward to our Fourth of July Celebration and hope to see everyone for the festivities!
