SANTA FE, NM – Representative Eliseo Alcon from the Village of Milan carried a memorial in the New Mexico State House of Representatives to honor the Mt. Taylor Winter Quadrathlon. This year, the quad celebrated 40 years of continued competition that brings economic success and increases tourism to Cibola County.
The quad has seen significant success this year. It was honored at the Grants-Cibola County Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet and now at the New Mexico state legislature.
Rep. Alcon carried House Memorial 79: A memorial declaring March 9, 2023 “Mt. Taylor Quadrathlon Day” in the House of Representatives. The memorial passed with a 70-0 vote.
In a statement, the quad committee wrote, “The Mt. Taylor Quad crew is honored to have been recognized by this proclamation supported by Representative Alcon. 40 years in and we’re still ready to rock!”
