Cibola County Sheriff’s Office and Partner Agencies Make Multiple Arrests Following Traffic Stop and Search Warrant

CIBOLA COUNTY On August 23, 2025, deputies from the Cibola County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the Mount Taylor Addition area that led to the arrest of two individuals:

Edward A. Merayo (Age: 48) — arrested for Driving While Revoked and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Brianna Jones (Age: 28) — arrested on multiple outstanding warrants, including Aggravated Fleeing, Receiving/ Transferring a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Receipt/ Transportation/Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.

The following morning, August 24, 2025, deputies with the Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the Milan Police Department, executed a search warrant at a residence in Mount Taylor Addition. Several individuals were detained, and three were arrested:

Don M. Jaramillo (Age: 43) — arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and on an outstanding Bench Warrant.

Matthew S. Natan (Age: 26) — arrested on a District Court Warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Claralynna Natan (Age: 47) — arrested on a traffic warrant issued by the New Mexico State Police.

During the search, deputies seized quantities of methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, fentanyl, and methadone.

In total, five individuals were arrested over the course of the two-day operation.

Sheriff’s Office officials emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing.

Sheriff Larry Diaz stated: “We are committed to keeping drugs out of Cibola County.”
