Cibola Knight recognized at New Mexico State Convention

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Chris Madrid Jr., a Grants local, was recognized as Knight of the Year during this weekend’s New Mexico Knights of Columbus State Convention.

Madrid was honored for his service and commitment through the organization. The award recognizes members who have demonstrated strong dedication to the Knights of Columbus and their community.

Madrid was especially honored for his work with The Little Sisters of the Poor in Gallup. Madrid does volunteer work across the Catholic Diocese of Gallup with the Knights of Columbus chapter, putting in over 40 hours of time per week praying with the sick, supporting veterans, and helping to support the Catholic Church.

The recognition was celebrated by fellow Knights, who congratulated Madrid on the welldeserved honor.
