ISS Over Cibola

Body

The International Space Station passed over Cibola County, New Mexico on Sunday, March 5 at 2:12 p.m. The ISS is a large spacecraft that orbits Earth where scientists from across the world live and work together. Astronauts are not just conducting research in the ISS, but they are also the engineers working to put the spacecraft together and fixing any issues aboard the vessel.

On March 5, the spacecraft was detected over Cibola County, in the Zuni Mountains of the Mount Taylor Ranger District very close to the El Malpais National Monument. The ISS was approximately 250 miles above Earth at the time it was in the area of El Malpais.
