CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. What kinds of bats live in El Malpais National Monument? What role do bats play in our ecosystem? Come and learn about the variety of bat species that we have around Cibola County!
On September 17 at 11:00 am, our Scientists in Parks staff will present findings from bat bioacoustic surveys and species diversity results spanning 20202026. Discover how scientists record and analyze bat echolocation calls and what they can tell us. There will be a Q&A session at the end for you to ask all your burning bat questions. The talk will take place in the theater at the El Malpais National Monument Visitor Center located at 1900 E Santa Fe Ave in Grants.
