MILAN, N.M. – Denise Baca, Municipal Clerk of the Village of Milan, has earned the Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC), showcasing her commitment to professional development and local governance.

Established in 1947, IIMC boasts 14,000 members spanning the US, Canada, and 15 other countries. Its mission is to empower municipal clerks with education and professional growth opportunities to meet evolving citizen needs.

The CMC program enhances clerks' performance in municipalities of all sizes. To achieve the designation, clerks must complete rigorous education and accrue relevant municipal experience, equipping them for the complex roles they undertake. This program collaborates with higher learning institutions and state associations.
