Body

MILAN, NM – On July 22 at 2:24 p.m. Milan Police Department Officer Ryan Salazar responded to the Petro gas station in Milan, for a “reckless driver” call.

While on patrol Salazar was waved down by a male individual saying that his 1985 Ford F250 was taken from the pumps at the Petro gas station. Salazar then gave the vehicle description to surrounding agencies and proceeded to view the camera footage at Petro. While viewing the footage Salazar stated in his report, “I viewed the cameras and it shows that no one had [entered] the vehicle, but rather it had started to roll backward towards Spicy Bite.”

Salazar then went across the street to check the area of Spicy Bite and located the vehicle backed into an abandoned building and was still started. The report stated that the male returned to his vehicle and no further action was taken.
