The New Mexico State University - Grants Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is proud to welcome Shibahn Azaziaah as its new Director. With over two decades of experience in career development and business planning, a Master’s in Education, Azaziaah brings a wealth of expertise to the role. Azaziaah's experience includes working as a Career Development Facilitator, assisting single mothers and displaced workers in collaboration with the Department of Labor. Additionally, she has served as a Recruiting Specialist with Indeed and Pepsi, and as a Project Manager for Research & Development Branding with Coca-Cola. Azaziaah has also worked as a Business Development Regional Manager with the University of Georgia IHDD, where she helped individuals with disabilities start their own businesses.
The SBDC's mission is to provide quality direct assistance, entrepreneurial education, and resource links for potential and existing small businesses, with the aim of strengthening the local economy. As the Director, Azaziaah will play a crucial role in achieving this mission by offering a range of services and support to entrepreneurs and small business owners. Azaziaah's extensive experience in career development and business planning will be instrumental in providing personalized guidance to entrepreneurs and small business owners. She will help them with market expansion ideas, understanding industry trends, and navigating the challenges of different phases in the business cycle. With this vision, Azaziaah aims to foster collaborative partnerships with businesses and entrepreneurs in Cibola County, working together to build a stronger and more vibrant local economy. The NMSU - Grants SBDC is part of the New Mexico Small Business Development Center Network (NMSBDC), which is dedicated to developing skilled entrepreneurs and strong businesses across the state.
