With five days remaining in the federal public comment period, Pueblo of Laguna Gov. Harry A. Antonio Jr. is urging residents to oppose the proposed removal of protections surrounding Chaco Culture National Historical Park.

An empty ore haul truck operated by Hammon Trucking overturned Tuesday afternoon on U.S. Highway 160 near Black Mesa, Ariz., on the Navajo Nation. The truck was traveling from Energy Fuels' White Mesa Mill in Utah to the Pinyon Plain uranium mine near Grand Canyon National Park. It is believed that heavy rainfall and flooding on the roadway contributed to the accident.
