Biden endorses Ben Ray Luján

NAMBÉ, N.M. - Former Vice President and presidential candidate Joe Biden announced his endorsement of Ben Ray Luján to be the next U.S. Senator for New Mexico, days earlier former President Barack Obama had endorsed Luján.

‘Back the Blue’; Protest leads to a packed park

GRANTS, N.M. – The Cibola County Republican Party held a protest in support of the police, in contrast to protests across the country to defund the police. The protests took place on September 22, with a large crowd in attendance, with elements of limited social distancing and few masks in sight.

Saturation patrols; ENDWI in New Mexico

CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. – In order to keep the roadways safe across Cibola County, area law enforcement agencies are running saturation patrols, putting a stop to drivers that may be driving intoxicated or under the influence of drugs.

Bomb threat

GRANTS, N.M. – On September 22 the Cibola County Government complex, which also houses the Smith’s grocery store on 700 Roosevelt Avenue in Grants, New Mexico, was evacuated for the third time in three months because of a bomb threat.

3.6 percent rise in COVID-19 cases

CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. – Cibola County is seeing cases of the COVID-19 rise again. On Sept. 21 Cibola County reported 406 total positive cases, on Sept. 28, one week later, Cibola reported 422 total positive cases, a 3.6 percent rise in cases.

Absentee voting by mail or in person

CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M - Voters may cast an absentee ballot or vote in person at their local County Clerk’s office or an early voting location prior to Election Day. No excuse is required to vote with an absentee ballot, according to the New Mexico Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver.
