FBI Seeks Information in Zuni Murder

ZUNI PUEBLO – On May 4, 2020, the body of Zuni Pueblo woman Jolynn Calavaza was found in an empty parking lot in the pueblo. After an autopsy, law enforcement determined Calavaza died due to multiple stab wounds, nearly three years later this case remains cold.

The FBI is seeking information about Calavaza’s death but has so far come up empty. They have not issued a reward for information in this case like they do for other similar cases. The FBI Albuquerque Field office is investigating this murder with assistance from the Zuni Police Department.

Zuni Pueblo rests in in both McKinley and Cibola Counties.

At the time of her murder, Calavaza was 5’4” tall and weighed 169 pounds. She had hazel eyes and black hair. Her murderer remains at large.
