GRANTS, NM – Iron Order MC, a Grants-based club, brought 145 members from four different states to Grants, New Mexico, for the group’s annual meeting.

Club member Joseph Baca said he wanted to bring the club’s annual meeting to Grants. Last year, he approached national leadership for the club and told them he wanted to bring the club to his home town, after gaining support from state leadership, they were able to secure the annual meeting in the land of Fire and Ice.

Taking place May 5 and 6, Iron Order MC met in Grants for their meeting. The club raised $13,300 for a club member’s wife who needs a kidney transplant. According to Baca, 145 members of Iron Order MC came to Grants from four different states, representing five regions in the US.

Baca said club members stayed at local hotels, ate at local restaurants, enjoyed local public lands, and pumped local gas. Baca will be joining other local and state members of Iron Order in a few weeks for a 4,000-mile trip up “The Dragon’s Tail” to North Carolina where the Grants Iron Order Chapter will be honored for their 10-year anniversary.

Baca called Iron Order MC, “The largest law-biding bike club in America.”
