Interstate: I-40, mile marker 44, Coolidge Interchange
El Terrero Construction, LLC (Contractor) has switched traffic to the eastbound lanes. Eastbound has two lanes open and westbound is reduced to one lane via median crossover detour. Speed reduced to 55 mph through the work zone. The contractor’s work hours are 7am-6pm, weekdays. All traffic control will remain in place 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Peak travel times are Thursdays through Sundays from 2pm to 9pm. To avoid delays due to backups, please travel during off-peak travel times.
I-40, mile marker 9.290 – 15.950, Gallup Port of Entry to West Gallup
Fisher Sand & Gravel (Contractor) continues roadway rehabilitation work. I-40 will be reduced to one lane for nighttime work. The contractor will work on eastbound to the project limits, then turn around and work on westbound. This will continue until all work is complete. Speed reduced to 55 mph through the work zone. The contractor’s work hours are 7pm-5am, weekdays. There will be no impacts to traffic during daytime hours.
State Roadways: NM 53, mile marker 15.500 – 19.500, east of Zuni Pueblo
Meridian Contracting, Inc. (Contractor) continues work on the concrete box culverts. NM 53 is reduced to one lane in each direction via a traffic signal. ONLY ONE DIRECTION OF TRAFFIC WILL BE ALLOWED THROUGH THE CONSTRUCTION ZONE AT A TIME. TO AVOID COLLISIONS, PLEASE DO NOT RUN RED LIGHTS AND BE PATIENT FOR TRAFFIC SIGNALS TO TURN GREEN. Speed reduced to 35 mph. The contractor’s work hours are 7am-5pm, weekdays.
NM 566, mile marker 0.000 – 0.866, BNSF Bridge at Church Rock FNF Construction, Inc. (Contractor) continues bridge replacement and roadway reconstruction work. Traffic has been shifted onto the detour pavement, just west of the existing roadway and western portion of the bridge. Speed reduced to 35 mph through the work zone. The contractor’s work hours are 7am-6pm, weekdays.
NM264,milemarker0–16, Tse Bonito to Yah-ta-Hay
Albuquerque Asphalt (Contractor) will begin mill and fill work on Monday, August 7. NM 264 will be reduced to one lane on the western portion of the corridor from mile marker 0-6 (Window Rock, AZ to Black Hat Rd.), then move to the eastern portion of the corridor from mile marker 1415.9 (from N. Chapel Hl Rd to Navajo Estates Volunteer Fire Department). The contractor’s work hours are 6am-7pm, weekdays. Speed reduced through the work zone.
NM 126, mile marker 9.5 – 10.1, east of the Village of Cuba
Star Paving (Contractor) continues slope stabilization work. NM 126 will be reduced to one lane in both directions with flag personnel guiding traffic through the work zone. Expect minor delays. In mid-August, one lane traffic will be controlled by traffic signals and remain in place 24 hours per day, 7 days per week until November. The contractors work hours are 7am-5pm, weekdays.
NM 412, mile marker 0.4 – 6.2, Bluewater Lake to NM 122 at Prewitt
Brasier Asphalt, Inc. (Contractor) will begin overlay work in mid-August. NM 412 will be reduced to one lane in both directions beginning at mile marker 6.2 (just north of I-40) and work south to mile marker 0.4 (Bluewater Lake). Traffic will be guided through the work zone with a pilot vehicle and mobile traffic signals. Expect minor delays. The contractor’s work hours are 7am-7pm, weekdays and every other weekend.
NM 566, mile marker 6.0 – 7.0, north of Church Rock Bridge Replacement project was let on June 16. All impacts to traffic will be posted as the contract is awarded and start date approaches.
