The New Mexico State Budget is going to be crafted over the next month, with legislators, community members, and advocates vying for a slice of the financial pie.
On this page, you will find the governor’s executive budget and the budget set by the Legislative Education Study Committee. The legislature will open session on January 16 after Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham gives the State of the State address, legislators will then meet in their respective rooms to discuss the budget.
The legislature will have until February 15 at noon to pass a new state budget. The governor will have until March 6 to sign the budget.
