Dear Editor I have been waiting to see a follow up to the short article and pictures of Mr. Windhorst allegedly disposing of oil into a dumpster. Is anybody looking into this? Since he is city employee and appears to be driving a city truck, maybe we should be asking the city what their responsibility is. And since he is also a county employee, what is the County’s position?
This is discouraging as the Citizen says they asked him to address it and instead of talking about it, he wrote a letter to the editor about the Freedom Riders. Dang, that sure put the issue to rest. And no further articles in the Citizen have addressed the allegation. City, County, doesn’t anybody care? I know littering and illegal disposal is rampant here. Is it so bad that all responsible parties have thrown up their hands? If so, we need a new set of responsible parties.
This just raises a can of worms that I sure hope has previously addressed. Does The City, The Village, and The County have written waste management policies? If so, where can they be accessed? And have the employees been trained, signed off that they have been trained, and tested on and passed their training? Richard Smith Cibola County
