Body
Curious eyes sparkle like the Milky Way, Clay sun, mirrors the land from where I am. Curled up too long to stretch my purple heart, Dreams unsure, in silver glitters, they swam.
Arrows pointing everywhere, I just roll, Stories connecting sunspots on my cheeks. From star to star, in the night sky I stroll, A diaspore, a puffball in golden streaks. I was warned of the desert bare and dry, Brown skin, reflects the woman I’ve become. But I see a redder spring, bluer sky, Enchanted mountains, soothing mesa’s hum.
I just drift in this dazzling multitude, To weave silence, multiply solitude.
