    MILAN – The Northwest New Mexico Council of Governments (NWNMCOG) in cooperation with the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is currently identifying ways to improve the safety and mobility of roadway users at the I-40 Thoreau interchange (Exit 53) at NM 371 and NM 612 (Bluewater Road).

    You’re invited to the first public meeting where the project team will introduce the purpose, need, issues identified, and plans for next steps. This is a chance for you to ask questions and talk about your experiences or concerns about this interchange.
