Due to extreme drought conditions and excessive state wildfires, a fire ban is hereby instituted for Acoma Pueblo. This ban is effective immediately and will remain in effect until further notice.Prohibited Activities: -Open burning of any kind, including campfires, bonfires, and trash burning.

GRANTS,NM— A crowd of 16 people from Dungarvin, both staff and clients, joined in happily making Paper plate ladybugs. The Cibola Arts Center has bi-monthly art activities for the Dungarvin group, The activities are under the direction of Myriah Scarpati, Art Facilitator and Gallery Associate.

The Board of Trustees held their Regular Meeting on June 20. At this meeting the board adopted a 40-year water plan and also approved multiple agreements. Fire Chief Daniel Urioste gave updates regarding the fire department and requested that citizens do not light fireworks due to the dry conditions, but said he cannot prohibit citizens from purchasing them.
