Grants Teacher Celebrates 10 Years of Impact at GCCS

GRANTS, N.M. — On May 28, 2025, the Grants-Cibola County Schools celebrated years of dedication and service at their end-of-year awards banquet, and among those honored was Anissa Shaver, who marked her 10th year with GCCS and her 26th year in education overall.

Milton C. Head Scholarship Honors Trade-Minded Graduates

A late but very sincere congratulations to seven Grants High School recipients of the Milton C. Head Memorial Scholarship. The committee awarded three, one-thousand-dollar scholarships and four, two-hundredfifty- dollar scholarships after reviewing more than seventy applications.

In a regular school board meeting taking place on June 24th and lasting approximately three and a half hours, the board discussed the staffing situation at GCCS, a grant they were awarded, assessment data, the ratification of the 20252026 union negotiated agreement, and the school food service.
