What’s Happening on Freedom Fourth in Grants

The annual Independence Day Parade will take place at 9 a.m.

Line-Up Begins: 7:30 AM

Start Time: 9:00 AM o Starts at Central and Santa Fe Avenue (Subject to change if paving is not complete) o Moves along Historic Route 66 (Santa Fe Ave.) o Ends at Grants Public Library on First Street

Celebrate Independence Day in Grants with the chamber of commerce, followed by a display of fireworks provided by the City of Grants.

The annual Grants-Cibola County Chamber of Commerce parade will kick off festivities, with fun following in the downtown area.

• Parade o Line-Up Begins: 7:30 AM

o Start Time: 9:00 AM o Route:

— Starts at Central and Santa Fe Avenue (Subject to change if paving is not complete) — Moves along Historic Route 66 (Santa Fe Avenue)

— Ends at Grants Public Library on First Street

• Live Entertainment & Vendors o Time: Immediately after the Parade

o Location: City Hall and Mining Museum Parks

o Performers:

— DJ Nevin Torivio: 11 AM - 3:30 PM — Break Time Band: 4 PM - 7 PM

• Grants Fireworks Display o Start Time: Dusk o Location: The Old Grants Jail Grounds on the Hill (Warren Street and Roosevelt) o Viewing:

— Citizens are encouraged to watch from

their homes.

— Parking is available in the Grants High School parking lot.

o Restrictions: — No access to football or softball fields.

— Trash cans will be provided.

— Clean up after yourself.

— Watch your children.
