Arrest made in quadruple murders

GRANTS, N.M. (AP) — A man sought in the killings of four people in New Mexico and one in New Jersey was arrested March 10 in St. Louis. Sean Lannon was arrested after a manhunt stretching from New Jersey to Missouri.

Albuquerque police discovered three of the people were reported missing since January from Grants, and a fourth person from Albuquerque and those being the bodies of Jennifer Lannon, 39, Matthew Miller, 21, Jesten Mata, 40, and Randal Apostalon, 60, were found inside a car parked on the top level of the Sun Port garage on March 12.

According to Grants Police, Daniel Lemos, also known as “Dog” or “Perro” is wanted for questioning in connection with this case. Lemos is considered armed and dangerous and GPD advises not to approach Lemos if seen. Lemos is known to frequent Santa Marina Street in Grants as well as places in Milan, San Rafael, and Albuquerque. Lemos is 5’11” and weighs 190 pounds. Grants police detective Robert Turney went to St. Louis to interview Lannon however, Turney declined to give the Cibola Citizen any comments from that interview.

From what I understand the suspect is answering the detective’s questions and is being cooperative,” Grants police Lt. David Chavez said. “This investigation is far from over, and we need to talk with Lemos.”
