GRANTS, N.M.- The Grants Public Library has a few events taking place this fall into winter. One of these is Book Angels. This is a gifting program that will allow families to sign up their child to receive a book for Christmas from a Book Angel. The Book Angels are anybody who would like to donate a book to be given to a child or young adult who has signed up. The library is actively seeking people who would like to participate. If you would like to sign your child up or participate as a donor, the event will take place up until December 19. All the library will need is the child's name, age, and an adult's contact information. The child's name and age will be put on ornaments for their tree in the library. The book angels may come and pick a child from the tree in order to select an appropriate book to donate. Book Angels may also simply drop off a book and the library staff will give it to one of the children who have signed up.

The library is also doing their second annual Christmas Village for the public to come and visit for free. It will be in the Grants Public Library courtyard. The Christmas Village is scheduled to be revealed on December 2. This will then be available to the public until January for viewing during business hours.

The Grants Public Library also does an activity for young kids called Tot and Me time every Thursday from 10:45AM to 11:15AM. This is a simple activity time event that includes storytime, sensory play, finger play, puppets, singing, and moving.

The Grants Public Library is open from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information you can call 505-287-4793 or visit cityofgrants.net/library.
